I’m an Interior Designer and a Set Decorator for film and television.      I have a passion for collecting vintage signs and gently worn items that show their age and their story.  My Father and Grandfather had a sign company in Savannah, Georgia where as a kid I spent many hours watching them paint.  I am drawn to Art Deco and Retro inspired fonts and graphics mostly from the 1920's to 1950's. They remind us of a gentler time.

Unable to find a completely unique dining table I painted mine to look like a vintage sign.  Everyone who saw it loved it!  I decided to start with vintage inspired signs as wall art and small tables.  Suddenly Patina Factory was born!

My sister Karen Kimball (karenkimballdesigns.com) is a talented graphic designer who helps bring the designs to life.  The response has been amazing.  I am enjoying developing different aging techniques and color palettes.  I consider each piece to have a Vintage Style with an Urban edge.  I love the look of something that has been faded by the sun and gently aged by summer rain storms or the touch of passers by.  I hope you find that sense of history and age in each piece.
